The OR-FlowTM Coordinator Control Station enhances the effectiveness of the charge nurse role,
in management of the OR suite.
The Coordinator Control Station is the focal point of the OR-FlowTM system. It provides the charge nurse with useful decision support tools and unprecedented, real-time, situational awareness.
The Coordinator Control Station focuses and prioritizes the charge nurse’s management process:
 OR-FlowTM records and identifies case-flow problems, such as delays, resource conflicts, and
patient related problems.
The charge nurse acquires the situational picture at a glance and can respond in real-time, by
rescheduling decisions and reallocating resources – thereby optimizing case-flow.
OR-FlowTM handles most of the problems automatically, reducing charge nurse effort.
Charge nurse decisions update the OR-FlowTM’s eco-system – via The Boards and the PITAs.
OR-FlowTM supports decision making by a charge nurse at a Coordinator Control Station . Other
decisions may be taken at the Command Center level by a medical director or a triage nurse.
